Vayots Dzor region (Armenian Վայոց Ձորի մարզ) is a region in Armenia. It is located in the southeast of the country. The administrative center is Yeghegnadzor, other cities are Jermuk and Vayk. Vayots Dzor region is the least populated among the regions of Armenia. The region is bordered on the west by Ararat region, on the north by Gegharkunik region, on the northeast by Artsakh’s Karvachar region, on the east by Syunik region and on the south by the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic.
